In the historic center of Erfurt, close to the famous 'Krämer Brücke', on an attractive corner site our task was to design a high quality condominium complex. 4 slightly shifted free standing houses following the street´s geometry were linked by open stairs. The 3-story house´s hight is related to the existing surroundings, where tilted roofs are prevailing. We translated these historic roofs into the modern form of recessed penthouse tops, enhancing the signifcance of the place.

The 2 - 5 room appartments with balconies facing towards the quiet inner yard are well provided with day- and sunlight in spite of the narrow street profiles. The corner house has a commercial units on the lower floors.
