The design contrasts the organic landscape concept with a linear steel axis, reacting to the large scale context with a sculptural size (approx. 550m). As an object with technical appearance it also serves as reminder of the large scale forces shaping the area during the times of the mining industry.

Walking over the bridge as an architectural promenade - the view in this linear space is partly directed by semi transparent planes. At places of focal interest it is also possible to step out of the space on a balcony to get a view of the bridge from the outside, a view of the landscape and of the events happening below.
