Our pedestrian bridge replaces an existing wood structure in the city center of Erfurt. It has a steel structure and uses the existing bearings. It is square in section (3 x 3m) and manufactured with tube profiles of 60mm in diameter. In order to save the structure´s thinness it is supported by additional t-profiles in those parts with extreme tension. The structure is stabilized with diagonal steel cables.

To limit the time of construction the bridge was prefabricated and delivered in one piece. Since the whole structure was to large to be galvanized, it is coated with a three layered paint. The walking surface consists of a galvanized steel grid.
