Adjacent to the existing historic theater and a park in Gera a studio theater was to be planned, that in part had to be functionally related to the main building.

We designed a glass volume, serving as spacial conclusion to the park - its special content is translated by a two layered façade. The volume is divided into 3 parts (administration, rehearsal stage, studio stage) and is wrapped with an independent free standing steel-glass-structure, allowing the 3 parts to shine through and providing an attractive shiny surface during the day.

In the space between glass and wall (coloured) lighting is provided, that draws especially at night attention to the new theater.
