In close vicinity to the Ministry of Finance in Erfurt an existing building was to be remodel ed as a food facility. Our concept proposes a basic renovation and a new and modern building envelope to cover the additional spaces of the program.

The new u-shaped envelope supports the orientation of the building to the central open space - a pergola is added relating inner and outer spaces. The main entrance is marked by a cubic glass element, shifted out of the buildings contour, containing the access ramp.
